We invite you to attend the lecture, “In Search of the Prophet: Curating an exhibition on the Hijrah”, presented by Dr. Idries Trevathan.
The presentation explores the making of “Hijrah: In the Footsteps of the Prophet”, a major exhibition launched at Ithra in 2022 that later toured Saudi Arabia. Created with over 70 researchers and artists from 20+ countries, it offered one of the most detailed studies of the Prophet’s migration, blending perspectives from science, history, theology, art, and cultural memory.
Dr. Idries Trevathan, Chief Curator and Islamic Art specialist at Ithra, has helped establish the center as a leading hub for Islamic art and culture. His recent works include the exhibition “In Praise of the Artisan” with Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah and several notable publications on Islamic art and architecture.
