Space Philosophies Course

Let’s embark together on an experience where we imagine a better future for humanity. We will learn about the most significant developments that have occurred in the space industry over the past ten years, then try to answer questions such as why human civilization is expanding into space and what the ethical dimension of humanity’s presence in space is. The course is 3 hours long: * Historical introduction * The civil beginnings of the space industry and its military shift * Early spacecraft up to the Space Shuttle * The high cost of space transportation: facts vs. exaggeration * The discovery of water on the Moon and the beginning of the new Moon race * The ethical dimension and Konstantin Tsiolkovsky’s concepts of “cosmic humanism” * The Kosma hypothesis and Professor Frank White’s overview perspective An exceptional course that takes a deep dive into concepts that transcend the boundaries of reality.
