Description
Join us for an Artist talk and book signing of Marco Bonelli's Arabia Deserta.
Arabia Deserta is a photography book resulting from a three-year project spanning Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia. The volume explores the true essence of the Arabian Peninsula’s landscape through light, nature and derelict urban elements, with the desert as the main protagonist.
The deeply Western vision of the photographer comes together with that of Kuwaiti author Deema Alghunaim, rooted in the ancestral culture of the desert, who with her text creates a bridge between the European perception and the Arab awareness of the desert, the wind, and the sense of changes over time.
