The Deanship of Student Affairs at Kuwait University announced the launch of the 'Cultural Cinema' initiative for the first time, in collaboration with the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters. This initiative aims to enhance cultural and artistic awareness among students and enrich university life with quality activities. The initiative includes screenings of historical and documentary films that reflect significant milestones in culture and history, which will be shown in various colleges at the Sabah Al-Salem University City, starting on October 8 at the College of Arts - South Building. Additionally, a special exhibition will accompany the initiative, showcasing rare artifacts, documents, and photographs from the history of Kuwaiti cinema, highlighting the journey of this art and its role in shaping the cultural memory of society. On this occasion, Dr. Salem Al-Shammari, Acting Assistant Dean for Student Activities, stated: 'The launch of the Cultural Cinema initiative represents a qualitative addition to student activities at Kuwait University, as it combines education and entertainment and opens new horizons for students to learn about history and cultural identity through cinematic art. We take pride in our partnership with the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters in this initiative, and we hope it will serve as a permanent platform to enhance artistic and cultural awareness among our students.'
