Workshop on Developing Social and Emotional Learning in Children through Picture Books

We invite you to register for a workshop on developing social and emotional learning in children through reading illustrated stories, presented by Dr. Fajr bin Rashid in collaboration with #Maktabat_Takween on the occasion of #World_Children's_Day.

The five essential components of social and emotional learning are: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. These skills work together to support children's personal and social growth, enhance their ability to interact positively with others, and achieve psychological and emotional well-being.

This workshop aims to equip participants with practical strategies based on the components of social and emotional learning that can be employed during reading illustrated stories with children, contributing to their social and emotional growth. A selected list of bilingual illustrated stories supporting the goals of social and emotional learning will also be provided to participants.
