Flow (Latvia) - فيضان (لاتفيا)

A 2024 animated adventure fantasy film co-written and directed by Gints Zilbalodis. The story is set in a world on the brink of collapse, filled with remnants of human existence. At its heart is a solitary cat whose home is destroyed by a great flood. Seeking refuge, the cat joins a boat inhabited by various species. Despite their differences, they must work together to survive. As they navigate the mystical, flooded landscapes, they face the challenges and dangers of adapting to a new world.

The film premiered in the “Un Certain Regard” section of the 2024 Cannes Film. It also competed at the Annecy Film Festival, where it won four awards including Jury and Audience awards. Additionally, it was selected as Latvia’s entry for Best International Feature Film at the 97th Academy Awards.

فيلم رسوم متحركة مغامرات خيال علمي إنتاج العام 2024 كتبه وأخرجه جينتس زيلبالوديس. تدور الأحداث عقب حدوث فيضان ضخم، حيث اختفى الإنسان من على وجه الكرة الأرضية ولا توجد سوى بقايا بشرية، ويحاول قط فقد بيته جراء الفيضان البحث عن مهرب فينضم إلى قارب يحوي فصائل مختلفة من الحيوانات. ويتعاون الجميع برغم اختلافهم للبقاء على قيد الحياة، والتكيف مع عالم جديد يواجهون فيه تحديات ومخاطر مختلفة.

عرض الفيلم لأول مرة في قسم «نظرة ما» في مهرجان كان السينمائي الدولي الأخير، كما عرض في مهرجان في مهرجان الرسوم المتحركة في مدينة أنسي الفرنسية، حيث فاز بأربع جوائز بما فيها جائزتي الجمهور ولجنة التحكيم، وهو مرشح لتمثيل لاتفيا والمنافسة في جوائز الأوسكار القادمة في فئة أفضل فيلم أجنبي.
