Part 2 of Zeina Karara’s residency, DO YOU SEE WHAT I’M SEEING, is a clay modeling and texture recreation workshop at @blissandpaper. Through iterative creation and destruction, we’ll explore the different phases of existing in a space, and how we are shaped into different forms by our experiences and the places we live in.

Zeina’s residency revolves around the temporality of presence. As she plans to leave Kuwait indefinitely, she is able to experience the country through a lens of longing and grief, asking us to join her as she lets go of a significant portion of her life.

The universality of this experience (leaving a nation without the guarantee of return) will be used as a tool to connect to each other and the physical space, then using the sights to create something new.
